Today

I thought I would have written after a long time. But as is the law of nature, you are reminded of not being in control of your destiny.

Destiny. A lot of people believe in it and some totally rubbish it out. Works fine both ways. Strange are its ways and stranger its methods to subordinate you, to put you to the axe and just when you thought it was all over; to whisper in your ears, "Its a new day!!".

I had lost my urge to pour out my thoughts online. Probably it was to do with my bad results, maybe because I believed I did not do as badly as the stats show. But that was yesterday.

Today, I am back after a never-to-forget new year vacation at Rekha Masi's place in Columbia.
Today, I have a reseach assistantship with an ongoing cybersecurity project in my department.
Today, I submitted my papers for an SSN in the country I vowed never to settle in.
Today, I had a sucessful meeting for research opportunities with Prof Andrew Moore, who is a dude and the head of Google in Pittsburgh.
Today, I got a mail saying I have got an office space for this Spring semester.
Today, I lost a dispassionate pool game after a long long time.
Today, I am writing.
Today, is just one of those good days you remember for a long time.

Yet, there are 7 hours and 13 minutes to go; TODAY.

Bottomline : Sri Krishna has truly said

KARMANYE WADHIKARASYE MA PHALESHU KADACHAN
MA KARMA- PHALA-HETUR BHUR MA TE SANGO'STV AKARMANI

(You have a right to work, but not to the result thereof. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.)

Today, I am happy.

It is interesting how unusually we are forced to break out from our self imposed exile and express our true emotions. In your case it appears you have more than one happy reason. I certainly congratulate you on that, and do keep writing. :) It is definitely worth the time. Your comment is taken due note of. I have been too carried away by the flow, to pay attention to detail :P
